New Father
I witnessed the birth of my grandson last Thursday. It was the first time I had actually witnessed a birth in real life. My other two grandsons were both c-sections. It was truly a gift to witness. I cried. I knew I would. I am pretty emotional like that. You can count on me to cry at weddings, and movies too! But what I really noticed was how my son become a father in an instant. (he cried too) They handed him the baby and his heart melted. You could see in in his face, and hear it in his voice. Aaaaaaand I cried again!!
I can't describe the joy I feel in seeing my son grow up, become a father, and the natural instinct he has displayed in protecting and loving his new bundle of joy. I welcomed him to parenthood with loving open arm, (and maybe a little grin on my face). This little fella already has called a few shots of his own! I guess he is showing them who is boss!
I am tired to say the least. I have been going a million miles it seems and have so much to do still. I am walking in the mornings with Amy at 5:45 and just now getting into a school routine now that we have a month behind us. The weather is starting to feel more like fall, and that makes me want to pull out the sweaters and sweatshirts. I hope things level out now that this sweet boy is finally here. I have some great features coming up and I can't wait to share them with you.
Anything new in your world?
