Happy Wednesday friends!

Who else besides me has missed Wednesday Wants?   I  am so excited to share the first installment for 2018.  I must be having a thing for bucket bags because all three of these are fabulous.  I want all of them!  That Staud bag is super fun!  I am glad that tie dye is still a "thing" because this cute maxi dress is perfect for a spring day.  On to these shoes..... Now you know I have a thing for leopard.... these Air and Grace sneakers are the best.  I mean really.... they are super casual but yet certainly can take your weekend wear up a notch!!  Can we stop for a minute and imagine this pink dial Michele watch on our arm?  This is feeling like a must have for me.  I love my Michele watch and wear it every day.  I recently have been thinking I would like to switch things up and get a round dial watch.. I think I found it!

Mixing Patterns with Leopard

December 07, 2016
It has been a while since I shared a pattern mixing post.  Today I mixed some of my favorites.  Leopard (of course), gingham and army green.  It was such an easy outfit to pull together.

Throwing patterns together comes pretty easy for me.  I hear all the time from my friends and followers; "I just don't know how to put it together".  I did an full post dedicated to just this and you can read my entire pattern mixing post here.  I really enjoy when someone shares with me how they stepped out of their comfort zone, even just a little with their outfit.  What are some of your favorite patterns to mix?  I love gingham and leopard together, and I love florals and stripes!  To me, fall is the best time to mix patterns.  You have the option for so many different types of layers, it makes it easy to pull a super fun outfit together.

The perfect Cashmere Sweater

November 30, 2016

When you think of layers you generally tend to think of a cute tank and cardigan, or maybe a button down and jacket with a cute scarf.  I have a great outfit with layers and pattern mixing I am sharing later this week so watch for it.  My outfit today is the perfect layering without the bulk.  Asneh Cashmere sent me this gorgeous vest.  It is so very soft and the diamond pattern is simply stunning in detail.  When I first opening the box my mind raced with so many ways to use this versatile wardrobe item.  We generally tend to think of a sweater vest as over a blouse, or top.  I decided to style it the first time as my only under layer.  Such a cute look don't you think?  I love how it is season appropriate but allows for the weather to warm up a bit in the afternoons and you don't overheat under to many bulky layers. I shared my other Asneh Cashmere and their Pussy Bow sweater outfit here.
I have received tons of questions and comments on my key necklace.  On my last trip to Florida, Gayle and I decided to try our hand at knotting beads.  We have made tons of bead bracelets in a wide range of colors, but this was a project I had been planning for some time.  I knew it was something I want to try and when my parents were in Europe this past summer I asked my Mom to pick up some antique keys from the wonderful flea markets they visit.  This is just one of the dozen keys she brought me back.  I love how it turned out.  I plan on making a few more necklaces and adding a different style of key to some and even a larger gemstone to hang freely.  I am currently on the hunt for some very pretty, quality Aquamarine for my next knotted necklace.  One thing I can tell you, the price you see for these type of knotted beaded necklace are well worth it after hand knotting all of these.  I do love a good challenge though!!  Have you ever tried beading, or even hand knotting beads?  Would you take on a project like this?  I would love to know who else out there is crafty!
One of my favorite places to purchase my necklaces is from Warrior Soul Co.  She has a darling Etsy shop and I have even met her; she is local to the Palm Beach area.  I picked up this Beaded Tridacna necklace from her on my last trip.  She also will custom make a necklace in your choice of beads if she doesn't have it made.

My New favorite timepiece - JORD Watches

November 29, 2016

We are in full swing for the holidays here.  I am gathering up ideas and lists from my boys to be sure they are happy on Christmas Morning.  Every year for as long as I can remember, my mom asked each one of my siblings and me for a list of our wishes for Christmas.  I continued that tradition with my kids and no matter how old they get they still supply me with a list of wants.  I have a few hard to buy for people on my list as always but this year I have a couple of great and unique ideas in mind for them.  JORD Watches reached out to me and sent me this gorgeous Zebrawood watch.  Yes, you read that correct... it's made of wood and is such a unique watch.

JORD watches offers a selection for men and woman with just about any picky gift recipient sure to be pleased. I personally selected the Zebrawood with the champagne dial.  I love the grain detail in the wood, and the lighter faced dial will be such a versatile accessory to style all year round.  If color is more your style, then there are several to choose from as well.  Arriving in its very own wood box with a mini drawer to stash any removed links or trinkets, all you would need to do is add a ribbon and a bow and your gift is ready to place under the tree!  Because I like treats as much as you do, I am offering you a little help getting your perfect JORD watch under your tree this year.  You will receive a $25 e-gift code towards your purchase when you click here and sign up. But hurry, the gift code link is only open until December 18th and expires February 28, 2017.

Easy Fall Transitioning

October 18, 2016
This outfit is perfect to transition into fall with a neutral palette.  With my top being lighter in weight but long sleeves I can wear it day to evening.  I love adding an element of texture to silks and my Ashley Pittman chain link necklace does just that.  I last wore it with my blue sundress in Florida and again, it was a show stopper with a clean solid palette against my solid color dress. The fun thing with transitioning during seasons is you get the best of both worlds.  Mixing denim with sandals, and jackets with shorts it feels like a whole new wardrobe almost!

I have been a little mia and promise to get back to regularly scheduled post as as soon as this month is behind me.  It is the busiest time of the year and between work, traveling, and a few exciting things behind the scenes I have a super full plate.  Hang with me, I promise you won't want to miss what I am woking on.

Casual Office Wear

September 27, 2016

I share a lot of my casual outfits and love styling for the weekends.  Today I am sharing a great work outfit.  I jump at the chance to style a little denim for work and my jean jacket is the perfect item.  I love how denim is so easy to dress up or down.  I wanted a little dressier flair to my jacket so I paired it with these fun zipper heels and some bold Ashley Pittman jewelry. The bracelets are so fun and as I mentioned in my post Stripes and Chambray, Gayle and I have made just about every color you can imagine.  With fall nipping at our heels it is time to start thinking about layers and blanket scarfs.  I am ready to bust out my wool hat and have a few fun outfits lined up to share soon featuring a few new brands and items so stay tuned. What are some of your favorite fall trends?

Stripes and Chambray

September 22, 2016

It's a crazy time of the year for me.  I have been neglectful in posting and I am sorry.  Work is keeping me so busy with deadlines, and I have so many other things in the works that by the time I get home I am a zombie and want to just relax.  I hope I am finally on the upswing and back to regularly posting.  For a long time (like the first two years) I posted every week day.  Then I slowly toggled between 4 and 5 days.  I am thinking with my current schedule I may set a routine and post Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  If I post on Mondays and Fridays it will be a bonus!!  I want you to know you can count on fresh content and when I post.  I truly appreciate all of you for following and reading.  I love blogging and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.  Life is just happening (In a good way) and I needed to let you know what to expect from me!  So on to the outfit today.

This is a versatile skirt I picked up a while back from Ann Taylor.  I love the stretch in the fabric and it really has been a great piece.  If you don't own a stripe skirt, you need to.  Seriously, what doesn't go with a stripe? I paired it with my Talbots Chambray top; another versatile must have item.  I know you have seen me wear these Ashley Pittman earrings all summer.  I love them.  They are light weight and go with literally everything. The teardrop shape and cutouts makes them so versatile to dress up or down.   When I was in Florida earlier this summer, Gayle and I stopped into a bead shop in Key West and picked up a bunch of natural stone strands.  We have had so much fun making bracelets and adding a fresh stack to our outfits.  We have made over 25 different bracelets in a variety of colors in natural gemstones.  Have you ever tried beading or jewelry making?

Little Black Sundress

September 09, 2016

I'm pretty sure I added more sundresses this summer to my wardrobe than anything else.  Cute and comfortable, they are perfect for running errands and when your in and out of the heat to air conditioning I find dresses cooler than a waist band with shorts.  I wore this cute little dress with my Cosabella bralette to run errands last weekend and loved it.  I think it really makes a difference in your mood and disposition when you feel good in what you have on.  Do you agree?  I have to catch myself so I don't just go on the run without a little touch up of my outfit!  It really makes a difference.  Do you find yourself in a wardrobe rut?  I know I have.  It is so easy to just throw on something simple and go especially when you know you're not seen by the public.  I am guilty of v neck tee's on my lazy days.  I am cleaning out my closet and replacing things that are worn, torn, or just not a good fit right now.  It's the best time to do a refresh of a few staples!  Happy Friday!

Cold Shoulder

August 19, 2016
When traveling to a climate that is different than yours you tend to play the guessing game with what to pack.  You think of what would seem to be ideal for the beach climate, and hot temperatures but inevitably you still run the risk of looking like a tourist; something I avoid at all cost.  The only over packing I did was with my shorts and tanks. I didn't wear a single pair!  Summer dresses are the way to go and so comfortable.  This cold shoulder dress is perfect for the beach environment.  It is breezy, lightweight, and has a fun bell sleeve.

Style Tip:  When wearing a cold shoulder or off the shoulder dress or top add a bandeau or bralette for added coverage and a wee bit of support.  Note:  these are not intended to replace your full support bras.  They are merely an added feature to your outfit while giving you a little coverage.  The beauty is there are no straps to keep covered and they don't slip down like a traditional strapless bra would.  I love the Cosabella racer back bralette and bandeau in a multitude of colors.  I shared one look on my instagram here with the back details of mine.   I own several of each and ordered a few more.  You can never have enough of a selection!

Summer Sun Dress

August 16, 2016

Summer is by far my favorite season and the beach is  by far my favorite place to be.  When the two are combined it's fabulous.   My vacation was a perfect combination of beach and pool time, girl time, and of course road trips!  I flew into Orlando and Gayle drove there to pick me up.  We planned on spending the day at Down Town Disney.  There were a few favorite toys I wanted to pick up for my youngest grandson who is turning four in a few weeks.  Well let me just say.... inland Florida is not where you want to be in August!  It was hot and humid.    We spent a good part of the day shopping before we decided it was time to head back to her home in Palm Beach.  It was about a two hour drive and our first road trip of the vacation!   We unpacked cleaned up and headed out to a few of her favorite places and met up with friends. We spent Sunday in Palm Beach enjoying the pool and beach and first thing Monday we headed out for our second road trip of the vacation to Key West.

I wore this sundress on our first day in Key West when we went walking around town and down Duval Street.  One of the things I love about this dress is how comfortable is it and the fun details to the twist t-back strap.  Anytime you are near the beach you can pretty much be guaranteed a good breeze.  My Ashley Pittman  cutout earrings were perfect for the ocean breeze. They are lightweight and so versatile.  I think I wore them the entire trip as well as my stack of Ashley Pittman horn and hammered brass bracelets.  They are lightweight; the only way to wear bracelets in the heat in my opinion.   It was gorgeous in Key West and sun dresses are the most comfortable things to wear in the heat.  After a day in the pool in the Keys we snapped  pictures on our balcony.  Isn't this the most gorgeous view?  I will be sharing where we stayed and all about the resort a little later.  But this view....
