Beach Bound

I am officially on vacation and on my way to the beach! If you want to see what we are doing you can follow along on snap lisa.murie for shenanigans that will not be here on the blog or my instagram!  I rounded up a few rather important items every beach lover should take with them.  A good hat to block the sun from your face and top of your head is important.  I am taking two and looking to purchase a third while I am down there!  Not that anyone plans on a sun burn, but being prepared is important if you do burn a little. Doesn't this after sun soothing spray sound perfect?   Of course, what would a beach trip be without a darling swimsuit.  I have packed my new suits and can't wait to enjoy the sun.  After a full day in the sun this Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle soft scented body wash makes you feel so good with your sun kissed skin.  If you have a few places to stop off at before headed in from the beach then this pom pom cover up is the perfect little stand in for a summer sundress.

This weeks edition of Wednesdays wants is a bit random, but fun all the same!  How many times has it began to rain and the first thing you think of is how to tuck your handbag under your coat or blouse?  I know I have!  Why not a raincoat for your bag?  Now admittedly  it's a bit crazy looking, but at least it's effective right?    This color block sun dress is perfect and what do you think of the Tory Burch sandals?  I love the multi colored logo, but I am not a fan of the patent leather.  Tassel earrings... yes please!

Today's collection of Wednesday wants has a bit of a theme.  It's beach time!  I'm not really the coffee book kinda gal but this Gray Malin book on beaches is definitely a book I would set out.  Gorgeous views of beaches from around the world is exactly something I would enjoy.  I shared with you here my new off the shoulder top, and when I spotted this one with eyelet around the bottom.... wellI I pretty much loved it too.  What would summer be without pink sandals?   For me these new pink Tory Burch Millers are the best!  I may just have a pair being shipped to me too!!!  Straw totes have been pretty popular for a few years now so adding a new one for this summer is pretty much a standard.

This weeks edition of Wednesday Wants is trends that are on point this season.  From off the shoulders to scallop swim wear.... you can't go wrong with any of these.   I love this roundup.  If you are in to fun footwear you can go with a great wedge or a fun colorful tennis shoe.  Off the shoulders, flowy boho tops, or scallops.... what ever you fancy these are sure to keep you on trend!  Contouring is all abuzz and if you are any good at it then I applaud you.  If a soft all in one palette is more your speed, then this one is for you.  Easy and all in one compact it would travel well in your bag for quick touchups too.

Wednesday wants are a little late today... but it's still Wednesday.  I attended an event last night and when I got home I just didn't have the energy to pull my list together!  Do you ever just get home and want to do nothing?  Yeah, that was me last night.  So this week's list has a few summer fun items and well as a staple item or two!  Loving tassels anyway I can get them, on the hem of this fun top or a pair of fun earrings.  Love them!  I love my slip silk pillowcase and swear by it.  Add a little Kiehl's midnight recovery and you are in for the best beauty sleep you can get.  I am loving the saddle tan this season and this bag is super cute.  I have been a fan of Ashley Pittman jewelry for some time and hope to add a few pieces of hers to my collection of bracelets. Honestly I would love any piece of Ashley Pittman jewelry.  Taking the best of both worlds this sandal is a comfy flat and has an ankle strap.  Soft pink lips please with this Dior lip glow, and finally this off the shoulder gingham top/tunic is adorable.  This image doesn't do it justice and it's on sale too!  Enjoy!

Wednesday Wants - Edition 4.4

Another edition of pretties with this weeks Wednesday's wants.  If you're in  need of any ideas for Mother's Day I rounded up a few right here! I know I mentioned I was looking for the perfect off the shoulder top and all of the ones I have seen are too short, but this striped one looks promising.  The key to off the shoulder for me is the length and making sure it's not to loose, that only adds to the bust line and I don't need any assistance there!  Keeping my fingers crossed this is a winner!

Wednesday Wants - Edition 4.3

This week's edition on Wednesday wants is definitely sprinkled with undertones of spring.  This ombre' lace dress is so pretty and perfect for an afternoon wedding, spring luncheon, or even date night.   It is sandal weather and this crisscross braided sandal in multi colors is super fun.  Tassels are everywhere and this blush Rebecca Minkoff hobo bag is no exception.  I love the color, structure, and of course the tassel.  Speaking of tassels.... do you own any shoes with tassels?  I do not have a pair of tassel shoes and can't quite seem to decide how much I want to own a pair but these neutral Marc Fisher are pretty darn high on my list to own.  Bringing up the rear of this week's list is the trench..... not just any trench coat but a detachable bottom coat.  Yup, that's right.  The bottom zips off to create a moto type trench.  The color does not even do it justice here but it is a gorgeous pale blush.  What are some things on your wish list?

Wednesday Wants Edition 4.1

As promised..... I am back with this weeks edition of Wednesday Wants.  I know it's heavy with shoes and pink, but what would you expect from me?  One of my favorites for spring is the arrival of all the pretty new sandals.  Pom pom and tassels are big again this year so if you haven't already added some to your wardrobe you might want to get right on that! I love these tassel earrings from Baublebar, and the Stefi tassel necklace I already own and cannot wait to share how I have been wearing it with a few outfits coming to the blog soon.   I don't need another keychain, but if I did this pretty pink tassel would for sure be what I would chose. 
 
 Let's talk about those rose gold shoes for a minute.... so pretty and shiny but I wonder if they scuff easily?  Does anyone own them already and know how comfortable they are?  Let me know what you think!  Tomorrow I will be sharing a recap of an event I am attending this evening and it is with my favorite fragrance!

Wednesday Wants - Edition 3.3

I am loving all the styles of fabulous wedges this season.  Not all wedges are created equal.  There are wood, rope, tie up, lace up.... you pretty much get the idea.  Today I have rounded up a few favorites that have caught my eye.  I am loving the color #7 but they are hard to find but I linked to them anyway and they are available in another color combination as well.  If I had to chose favorites I would go with #5 and #8 for comfort, #6 and #7 obviously for great color, and #4 and #9 for the great ankle strap.  What are your favorite picks?

This weeks Wednesday Wants are summer fun.   Spring break is next week and it's time to get the party started! I love this flat top hat and while shopping their site, wait for it.... they have a pink hat too!!  I squealed a little when I saw it!  Now I can't get hasty, there is some thought that has to go into purchasing a pink hat.  Like.... how much can I truly wear it? and where would I wear it?  But it is pink after all.  Stay tune to see if it shows up here!  This swimsuit is pretty awesome.  It pretty much is the best of both worlds.... a two piece and a one piece at the sale time.  I am still a two piece gal but every year I look around the pool to make sure I haven't over stayed my bikini welcome if ya know what I mean. These sandals are a great dupe for the every popular and pricey Valentino's so you should definitely look into grabbing a pair of these.  

 A trip to the pool or beach wouldn't be complete without a great bag.  This bright and colorful bag is a nice unstructured bag to fill to the brim with snacks, lotions, and towels. I have a thing for bags you know.  What are your plans for spring break?

If you give me just a wee bit of warm weather I am ready to pull out my sandals.  I hate wearing closed toe shoes and I am busting at the seams to finally break out a pretty pedi.  These sandals caught my eye and I am ready for some open toes.  Who else is ready for sandals?  Those pom pom and tassels sandals are pretty cute.... not sure how comfortable they would be, but super cute!

O-Venture

I first stumbled upon O-Venture perusing thru my instagram account.  Something about the bold colors and the small yet bold accent strip grabbed me.  Per usual, I gravitated towards the Tickle me Pink Big O key ring.  I was intrigued to learn how these two mothers and friends came up with such a fun and useful idea.

 Janie and Caroline, the brains behind these beauties brainstormed to see just what exactly would help busy moms and women in general with their daily activities.  The answer was literally right in front of them.  Every single one of us has a set of keys, and sometimes duel sets.  I have my personal keys, and then a set of office keys too.  We are required to carry our office keys and swipe keys when moving through our building.  It really is a must since we have certain locked doors in the building that require a swipe card.  I cannot tell you the number of times myself, or a co worker has set her keys down in a secure room and walked off only to retrace her steps to find them. So,  the idea to carry my keys not only with me, but a place for my swipe cards as well was a perfect match for me and O-Venture!!  The biggest question Janie and Caroline sat down with was "How can we make women's lives easier?"... I think they answered their question with the O-Venture.

Happy Wednesday... and Happy October!!  This week I am loving the feel of fall.  The evenings are beginning to get cool, and the nights are dipping lower.  With all the cooler temps and the leaves beginning to change colors it has me dreaming of sweaters and scarves!  I love this longer boyfriend cardigan (or grampa sweater as some people call them) because they layer so well with leggings and skinny jeans... and the pink sleeves?? well hello johnny!!!  This has got to find a way in my closet.  This chunky cable sweater looks exactly like what I am after although the cowl neck may be a bit bulky, so it will have to be tried on before I can say for sure its for me, but cute anyway huh?  Buffalo plaid anything is a must!  

My scarf collection keeps growing and that's okay with me.  Don't you find it is the easiest way to take an ordinary tee, blazer, or sweater and dress it up?  Sometimes when I throw an outfit together and it's just missing that pow, I dig thru my scarves first to see what will go!  Generally that is all I needed! For over a year now I have been silently admiring Daniel Wellington watches.  I admit, I loved the way they looked on a girls arm, but did not think I would wear one.  Sure enough, I now love how it looks after seeing so many on girls and want one of these... or both!!  Would you wear one?  Or do you think its too manly?  This gold rimmed bowl is too pretty to pass up, even if I don't know what I would do with it yet!   I have mentioned before here how to transition your makeup from summer to fall and adding  tinted moisturizer is also a great transitional beauty product.  Adding  moisture to your face as well as a little bit if color is what makes this so good!
