My parents were in town last weekend and I jumped at the chance to take pictures in the golden hour after dinner with my mom.  I'm not sure we were as successful as we could be.. but I like the amber glow to the pictures.  As mom's always say...practice makes perfect!

I work Monday thru Friday in an office and waking up sometimes is a drag.    But when the weekend rolls around I am excited to get up and out! I have never been one to sleep in.  To me sleeping in means 7:30! On the weekend I enjoy making coffee and enjoying the stillness of the house and the street for that matter.  We live on a street loaded with kids and they are mostly boys.  With the weather finally nice there are kids out playing until well after dark.  Whatever happened to kids home when the street light comes on safe and sound?  Or playing in their own back yard instead of running the streets without parents watching them? The morning is about the only time on my street it is quiet.  I love spring and summer... but the excess noise I can do without!  My own kids included with their loud music!  Man... if this doesn't make me sound old haha!!  

So what does all this have to do with this outfit? Saturday morning Erin and I met up with a group of other Midwest bloggers over juice and cookies and great conversation and this is what I wore. It was so nice to meet a few new girls and connect with them.   I waited all week to wear this because the camo pants would not be office friendly. I sure do get a lot of use out of these pants.  See how I styled them here, here, and here too.  I wish we had more attire freedom at my office.  It was a beautiful morning and as we snapped pictures of each other to share we couldn't help but enjoy the beautiful flowers on the sidewalk for sale!

April favorites

In true April fashion we woke to an april shower this morning.  A rumble of thunder and a few snaps of lighting too.  Welcome April!  But with the showers of April also comes the April favorites that brings hopes of warmer days and sunshine.  Bare shoulders with this beautiful  Blouse  is closer than we think and I for one can't wait.  The time to finally wear your white Jeans  and open toe Sandals .  Maxi dresses are a staple in my wardrobe in the spring and summer and I am loving this  Dress.  What are some of your April favorites?

With the arrival of spring finally... comes the new spring bag!  What style is your favorite? Are you a shoulder bag... or you prefer the option of a top handle with a strap?  Right now the cross body's are my favorite.  They are all so pretty and I could see me carrying any one of these lovelies.  I want a pink bag but just don't know how useful it would be.  what do you think?
